Meet the Authors- Tabitha

Hello! My name is Tabitha Cora Kat and I am... hmmm, you know what? A girl should never have to reveal her age. Sooooo, let's just say that I am an eternal kitten! A long time ago, my life was very different. I lived outside and had to scavenge for food. I was a mighty huntress, like a lioness! Rar! And every couple of months, I had kittens to take care of, which I liked, but I couldn't take care of them forever. Usually, I would take them to some nice looking persons house and drop them off in their yard.
One winter, about five years ago, I knew I was getting ready to have more kittens, and I was having trouble finding food. So when somebody found me very hungry, cowering under a bush, I went with them. They took me to a place that had lots of other kitties all living in tiny houses. They gave me food and a warm bed and I gave them lots of kisses and purrs because they were being so nice. They let me have my kittens, and when they were old enough, they found nice places for them to live- I didn't even have to worry about it! Then, they made it so that I wouldn't have any more babies- I don't remember much about that part, just that I got very sleepy and when I woke up, I couldn't have anymore babies! I was a little sad, because I like taking care of my kittens.
Well, once I was better, the people put me in a little bitty house that was surrounded by a ton of people going by. That's when I got my Big Idea- maybe I could take care people too, just like they took care of me and my babies when we were hungry.
A lot of people walked by, there was one girl who had another kitty with her. She was talking to another cat beneath me, who was not very nice. She was hissing at the girl and her cat- there was no way she would take care of them right! So, I started tapping the girl on the head an meowing at her. When she looked up, I pushed both arms out of the cage so I could tap her and the her cat on the head. She took me out of the cage and I purred and purred and gave kisses so she would know what a good caretaker I would be. Next thing I knew, we were on our way to the girls home!
I love, love, LOVE my family!!! And I take the best care of them! I sleep on top of them to keep them warm. I play with everybody to keep them happy, and I give them kisses when they are sad! I groom their hair and clean their ears. And I patrol the house and the windows to the outside every little bit to make sure that everyone is safe. If a small critter gets inside, I get rid of them. I play with toy mice to keep my hunting skills in tip top sharp shape! I have three kitty brothers and a human mom and a guy who feeds us, and I take care of them all. It is a very, very big job to be me!
